Job Description

You will be a member of the world-class team of server-side engineers responsible to architect, design, develop, and support Internet-scale event driven applications in the area of Social CRM and Travel.

Position / Responsibilities:

As a Senior UI Engineer/Developer, you will be responsible to:

Choose relevant technologies to use in the presentation tier
Develop a UI framework that allows easy creation of highly interactive and well-designed web business applications
Create the product as expressed by written and verbal specifications from product managers and conversations with the visionary stakeholders
Design and deliver code on the client side
Ensure on-time, high-quality execution of the work above
Develop user interfaces for high performant, highly available and scalable web business applications for end-users
Develop overall user experience and usability aspects for all user interfaces
Develop web-based grids, charting, and drag-and-drop functionality
Advocate simplicity and intuitiveness in all user interfaces

Required experience:

B.S. in Computer Science with 4+ years or M.S. in Computer Science with 2+ years of industry experience
Expert level XHTML, JavaScript, , JQuery and CSS experience
Expert level understanding of XML, JSON and Web Services
Exceptional understanding of web standards, performance standards, accessibility and web development best practices
Expert level experience with an object oriented programming language (Java preferred)
Excellent debugging and testing skills, and cross-browser compatibility knowledge
Experience building using apis (FB Connect, twitter API, Google API) is a plus
Database, SQL and MySQL (LAMP stack) experience are pluses
Passion for elegant and intuitive user interfaces
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Highly motivated self-starter
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Ability to tackle challenging problems on a tight schedule
You learn new languages and technologies quickly, are innovative, enjoy challenges and have a great work ethic
