Vision

In the last two decades we have seen democratization of information and applications in the consumer world at a pace that no one could have imagined previously. Who knew that the entire world would be connected via Facebook, all information in all languages will be indexed by Google and available at your fingertips, or that consumer devices would look so appealing and attractive via Apple. Salesforce.com would declare ‘software is dead’ and prove it, virtualization (the oldest paradigm in computing) would reinvent itself in the form of VMWare.

This is the world of technology and we thrive in it!
We thrive on the possibilities generated in the manner in which businesses, small, medium and large, all over the world can utilize technology as a strategic competitive advantage rather than a mere cost. This is what prompted us to blend our collective experiences and past successes along with the consumer web generation to shift the needle on how businesses look at platforms, applications and information.

What are we working on?

We believe that the value chain defined in an enterprise in terms of internet (customers), intranet (portal) and extranet (partners) is a concept for the past decade. The wave of globalization coupled with crowd sourced social networks will lead to a network where customers, partners and employees can access and build applications and information themselves, and the role of IT would substantially change to being the provider of the “Platform as a Service”. The definition of a “Platform as a Service” is still evolving but at the bare minimum resembles the internet cloud providers such as Amazon EC2.

In this era of information economy, we have to ask ourselves the question “Do the application development and integration, data modeling and access techniques used the last couple decades aptly serve the needs of technologically evolving business users?” These types of debates generally tend to be theoretical and argumentative, as we know having lived through numerous past inflection points such relational databases, distributed systems, Object Oriented Analysis and Design et al.

We are excited about the No-SQL movement.

This is the brave new world of cloud and why not? The cloud is the inflection point in the history of software and our team is totally committed and excited about the potential impact on everything related to this discipline. Goodbye to clunky hard coded schemas, hard coded business logic, hard coded reports, slow, visually unappealing user interfaces, months to add a couple of fields to a table et al. You get the drift.

If you are someone who gets excited at the idea of working with a smart, dynamic team, obsessed with the idea of creating a platform for business, and still believe that ‘writing optimized code is the only way to program’, do send an email about what you want to do to jobs@ensuantinc.com.
